Men and women are fundamentally different, so the optimal family model includes both a mother and a father.
In today's society, single parent or same sex marriage are getting in common. Some people think that modern welfare system is improved so much that systemically organized society is able to support the necessity about a absence of opposite gender in the family. However, I disagree with this opinion. I firmly believe that both a father and a mother are necessary in order to people have the optimal family. This is because, first it is efficient to raise their children, and second children who have both parents are better for building relationship.
First of all, it is efficient to raise their children. To be specific, element differences, which came from physical difference between a man and a woman, help people maintain stable family. As they organize their family with opposed gender, they could make a balance between physical labors and house holding works. In these society, technology is able to accumulate gaps of the brawn, but it has still not been perfectly satisfied with essential necessities to raise their children with limited resource. If parents separate chores related their children, they will be able to save a lot of time and effort. Physical difference would suggest diverse aspect to solve problems, then people make less mistakes because they counterbalance each gender's disadvantages. For example, one of my cousin raise her child without a husband. She is a single mother. She said that she could manage almost of problems on her own, but not perfectly. Even though up-to-date gadgets help her remove most of chores and allow her spend her time to her children, she still should focus on many part of works and by growing up their children, she had felt she need to be stronger. Through this situation, I realized that single parent is not good enough to raise her/his children, they are able to use cutting edge technology though.
Moreover, children who have both parents are better for building relationship. While children are grown up with both parents, they will have opportunities to learn about both gender's characters. By seeing their parents behavior for another gender, children will have better understanding. It would allow them building good relationship when they become adults and work with other people. Because society is constructed with relationship between different gender, these children will make positive effect to the society. It means that the family with both gender parents is optimistic for not only family members but also society ones. According to the survey done by the ministry of health and welfare in Korea, three-five of the people who were not raised by both a mother and a father felt difficulties when they made relationship. Especially, when they worked with co-workers who are opposite gender of their single parent's, the difficulty of building relationship was far overweigh than another. This result shows that families with both gender give positive effect and it means that these family model is optimistic.
As stated, it is efficient to raise their children and also, children who has both parents are able to build good relationship. Hence, with the statement mentioned above, I agree with the statement that the family model with both father and mother is optimistic.
