In the past, it was easier to set a career goal.
In the globalized society, it is widely believed that it was easier to set a career goal. Some people advocated that these days people can use plenty of machinery and it makes people have a success in short time span. However I disagree with this opinion. I firmly believed that setting a career goal is more difficult in modern society. This is because first of all, people need to learn more skills and second, there is less opportunity to get a chance in the globalized society.
First of all, in modern society, people need to learn more skills to have a success in their career goal. To be specific, because of the development of technology, there are a lot of machinery in our daily life. Not only daily life but also business field such as finances, architect and so on, people who work on these field should learn complex and diverse skills. Also, it make people spend more time and effort to set their career goals. For example, my father started his business 30 years ago, he said that he did not use even computer and internet. Therefore, he told me that he had a success with his own effort. However, young people who lives in these days need to learn variety of programs to use computers for getting a job. If they do not have those kind of skills, there is no opportunities to have a success in their lives. This fact reveals that in these days, people need more effort to success.
In addition, there is less opportunities to get a chance in the globalized society. In other word, many globalized company spattered in the market already. When people want to start their business, they have to rely on these huge global company. It makes people spent much more cost and ordinary people choose the way to be a part of these companies. Because they do not need to face complex problem and the risks what they counterpart globalized company. Working along with well organized systems need less efforts and allow people more salaries. According to the survey done by the New York times, 90 percents people believed that working in the globalized company is much easier. Even though, people thought working on their own company // makes them success their career goals, it could be very risky and people do not wanted to dare the risks. Through this results, it is legitimated that there is fewer opportunity for people to set a their career goals.
In conclusion, setting a career is more difficult these days. This assertion is supported by follow opinions. First, people should learn more skills, and there is less chance to success in their career field.
